Overview

NOVEC 1230 (FK-5-1-12) is a clean agent stored as a liquid at room temperature that vaporizes on discharge. It suppresses fire primarily by absorbing heat; with very low global warming potential (GWP ~1) and a short atmospheric lifetime (~5 days), it is among the most environmentally superior clean-agent options. A-Pro designs to TS ISO 14520-5 and NFPA 2001.
