FM200 (HFC-227ea)
Clean-agent suppression with HFC-227ea in seconds
Overview
FM200 (HFC-227ea) is a clean-agent suppressant that discharges within 10 seconds in enclosed spaces housing electronics and valuable equipment, leaving no residue. It suppresses fire both by absorbing heat (physical) and by interrupting the combustion chain (chemical). A-Pro handles concentration calculation, cylinder banks, nozzle design and detection integration to TS ISO 14520-9 as a single source.
How it works
Rapid Discharge
Reaches design concentration (~7–9%) in 10 seconds; suppresses fire before it grows.
No Residue
No post-discharge cleanup; does not harm electronics, business continuity is preserved.
Compact Storage
Stored as liquefied gas in few cylinders; far smaller footprint than inert gases.
Occupant Safety
Design concentration kept below the NOAEL threshold; suitable for occupied spaces.

- Gas shut-off, damper and alarm device check
Frequently asked questions
Is FM200 safe in occupied spaces?+
When design concentration is kept below the NOAEL threshold it is safely applied in occupied spaces; delay and alarm scenarios secure evacuation.
Does FM200 damage equipment?+
No. It is residue-free, non-conductive and suppresses without harming electronics; no post-discharge cleanup is needed.
FM200 vs NOVEC 1230?+
Both are clean agents; NOVEC 1230 has very low environmental impact (GWP ~1), while FM200 stores more compactly. Selection depends on risk, volume and environmental priority.
How fast does it suppress?+
It reaches design concentration within 10 seconds, suppressing fire at an early stage.
Where is it preferred?+
In electronic spaces where water is unsuitable — data centers, servers, UPS/panels, archives and telecom (BYKHY Article 98).
